After reading an article in POST magazine discussing the idea of best practices for the visual effects industry, AND talking with Tom Shustack about best practices for our DIF members when working on independent films – it got me thinking.  Is there a best practices site? You know, one that has every industry for folks to look at and guide them as to what the current standards are – not just in design or Video/ Film or photography, but everywhere?

What’daya know?!? However, after just a few clicks most of these sites are waaaaay of point. I’m thinking more of a Jobs.com type thing that covers the entire job/service spectrum. Maybe I should start that site up then, huh? Start with something I know, like working with Final Cut Pro or Photoshop or something like that and branch out from there?
